Friday programme at the Platan stage will be an open-air screening of the silent movie with a live music.

Come to enjoy the festival atmosphere already on Friday. We have prepared something really special for you!

At 21.15 there will start directly in Bratislavská Street at the Platan café the screening of German silent horror THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI (1920). The screening will be live accompanied by TOM HOLIČ (combination of electro music, live singing and trumpet playing).

The CABINET of Dr. CALIGARI is perceived as the first expressionist movie. Its charm lays mainly in the unseen stage production.

Caligari can be understood as a metaphor of after-war Germany, full of fears and concerns about the future. Caligari is supposed to be former system, state authority and Ceasar is just a puppet in his hands, obeying the orders and dying for them…
